Red Bull joins Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026 in a partnership that feels natural from the first second.
At Rockstadt, energy is not something you describe, it’s something that builds around you. It starts early, somewhere between anticipation and noise, and then it keeps growing until it turns into that shared momentum you can’t really step out of.
Six days where everything moves faster, hits harder and stays with you longer than expected.
Red Bull has always been part of that same space, where limits are there to be tested, not respected, and where intensity is not something you manage, but something you lean into.
It’s about staying present when things peak, about going further when stopping would be easier, about choosing the moment instead of watching it pass.
Of Mice & Men have officially canceled their planned European summer tour due to circumstances beyond their control, meaning they will no longer perform at Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026.
While the band expressed their disappointment and gratitude toward the fans, festivals, and promoters they were slated to play for, the festival organizers have confirmed that Creeper will be joining the lineup in their place.
Creeper is an English rock band formed in Southampton in 2014, known for their theatrical and narrative-driven approach to music. The band currently features Will Gould, Ian Miles, Lawrie Pattison, Sean Scott, Hannah Greenwood, and Jake Fogarty.
Their sound blends elements of horror punk, gothic rock, glam rock, and art rock, with albums often centered on distinct conceptual stories, such as their vampire-themed project Sanguivore.
Over their career, they have gained significant critical acclaim from major rock publications and are recognized for elaborate, high-energy live performances.
PPC blue joins Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026 as our official energy partner.
REF doesn’t really begin when the first band steps on stage.
It starts earlier, in the way the grounds slowly come alive, in the sound of gear being tested, in that familiar restlessness that settles over the crowd when everyone knows something big is about to happen.
Six days that somehow feel endless and over in a heartbeat at the same time. It takes energy you can rely on. Steady, constant and there when it matters, so the moments meant to stay with us are never interrupted by the ones that shouldn’t.
That’s where PPC blue comes in.
And that’s why this partnership feels right.

Soulfly is officially joining the Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026 lineup as the final co-headliner.
For decades, the band has maintained a consistent style that defines them as one of the most recognizable names in the international metal scene.

Their addition, alongside previously announced co-headliner grandson, marks a major milestone as the festival nears the completion of its 2026 lineup
Grandson is officially joining the Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026 lineup as a co-headliner.
Known as Jordan Edward Benjamin, this Canadian-American artist expertly blends alternative rock, hip-hop, electronic, and trap music, moving fluidly between heavy and rap influences.
His live sets are famous for their high energy, designed to pull in the crowd, build intensity, and eventually explode into a cathartic, mosh-pit-inducing experience. His work often addresses socially charged topics like systemic corruption and mental health, cementing his reputation as a vital voice for his generation.
By adding his dynamic stage presence to the bill, the festival continues its tradition of showcasing genre-defying artists who refuse to sit in one place for too long. This is one of the final pieces of the puzzle before the full, massive lineup for the fortress is locked.
The "Rockstadt Tribute Day" is a standalone event scheduled for August 1, 2026, in Ghimbav, Romania.

Formed in Chicago back in 1989 by vocalist and lyricist Paul Kuhr, Novembers Doom began with roots deep in the soil of early doom and death metal. Over the decades, however, they have carved out something much broader, more personal, and deeply evocative.
We are excited to welcome them to the Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026 lineup! Throughout their storied career, the band has fearlessly navigated different shades of darkness, blending crushing weight with soaring, melancholic melody and intense introspection. Their sound doesn't follow the trends of a single subgenre; instead, it feels like an organic, living entity that evolves with every album.
Prepare for a performance that hits with emotional gravity and atmospheric depth. This is a band that understands the beauty in despair, and their arrival in Ghimbav promises to be a standout moment for those who appreciate heavy music with a soul. Join us as they bring their long road of sonic evolution to the stage!
Born in Jonquière, Quebec, in the early ’80s, Voivod has spent four decades building a world of its own a sonic landscape existing somewhere between thrash, progressive metal, and dystopian science fiction.
From the raw, unhinged chaos of War and Pain to the twisted, cerebral brilliance of Killing Technology, Dimension Hatröss, and Nothingface, Voivod has always sounded like they were operating on a different frequency.
We are incredibly proud to welcome these legends to the Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026 lineup! Forty years later, the Voivod machine is still running, guided by the same restless spirit that originally pushed them far beyond the perceived limits of metal. This is a rare chance to witness true innovators who have never stopped evolving.
Don’t miss your chance to see the masters of the sci-fi thrash odyssey live in Ghimbav!
Get ready to turn the volume up to eleven! AIRBOURNE is officially joining the Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026 lineup.
Formed by brothers Joel and Ryan O’Keeffe in Warrnambool, Australia, the band has built its global reputation the honest, old-school way: through thunderous records, relentless, non-stop touring, and a live show that feels like it might tear the stage apart at any second. They are the embodiment of pure, high-octane rock and roll—no gimmicks, just raw power and adrenaline-fueled energy.
If you’ve ever seen them live, you already know exactly what’s coming. If you haven't, prepare yourself for one of those sets where the intensity climbs from the first chord, the crowd pulses as one, and everything moves at breakneck speed.
This is high-voltage rock delivered with maximum impact. Join us in Ghimbav to witness Airbourne bring the house down!
The Boston collective CRIPPLING ALCOHOLISM is bringing their genre-defying chaos to Ghimbav! Having quickly built a reputation for a sound that refuses to sit still, the band masterfully blends post-punk tension, gothic noise rock, and industrial edges into songs that feel simultaneously hypnotic and deeply unsettling.
Formed around the visceral vocal performance of Tony Castrati, the band leans heavily into dark, evocative storytelling and thick, uneasy atmospheres. They specialize in pairing grinding, distorted walls of sound with strangely memorable hooks, creating an auditory experience that is as catchy as it is abrasive.
This summer, that raw, unpredictable energy lands at the foot of the fortress. If you’re looking for a performance that challenges the boundaries between melody and madness, do not miss CRIPPLING ALCOHOLISM at Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026. Prepare to be unsettled!
From the depths of the Liverpool underground in the late ’80s to the world's biggest stages, Carcass has carved out a legacy that few bands can ever touch.
Their revolutionary sound didn’t just participate in the evolution of extreme metal it helped define it, shaping entire subgenres with razor-sharp precision and a visceral, unmistakable identity that you recognize within seconds.
We are thrilled to welcome these legends to the Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026 lineup! When Carcass plays live, it feels less like a historical throwback and more like a necessary, thunderous reminder of why this music remains vital.
They bring a performance that is precise, relentless, and unapologetically alive in the moment. Get ready to witness a masterclass in death metal raw, intense, and ready to shake the valley floor in Ghimbav!
Emerging from Belgium’s vibrant underground, Psychonaut has evolved from three friends playing intimate club shows into a powerhouse trio that commands a surprisingly vast, cinematic sound.
We are stoked to announce that Psychonaut is joining the lineup for Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026! Their music traverses intricate progressive structures, crushing post-metal weight, and haunting moments of calm that don’t soften the impact they make it land with even greater force.
With acclaimed records like Unfold the God Man and the transformative World Maker, they have built a reputation for live performances that feel deeply immersive.
Join us in Ghimbav to witness their mastery of tension, dynamics, and sheer, unfiltered emotion. This is one for those who want their heavy music to be as intellectually challenging as it is viscerally overwhelming!
Born out of a need for raw honesty in a genre often hidden behind abstraction, Panzerfaust has spent two decades crafting a sound that is as intellectually formidable as it is sonically devastating.
Hailing from Canada, they look straight at the darkest corners of history, conflict, and the long, haunting shadows they leave behind.
We are proud to welcome Panzerfaust to the Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026 lineup!
Over the years, they have shaped a sound that feels simultaneously grounded and expansive bleak and atmospheric without relying on hollow theatricality, and relentlessly intense without needing to prove their weight.
On stage, this translates into a commanding presence that pulls the crowd into their own pace. Atmosphere matters as much as force, and every moment is allowed to breathe, grow, and consume the space.
Witness a band that articulates the human experience through absolute sonic destruction in Ghimbav!
What started as a singular, one-man vision has evolved, album after album, into a towering project that pulls deeply from the dark well of religious symbolism. Non Est Deus doesn’t just observe these themes; they turn them inside out, using them to confront suffering, belief, guilt, and collapse not as distant concepts, but as raw, lived experiences. From ancient biblical figures to the architecture of inner ruin, their music walks a jagged road between revelation and absolute downfall.
We are proud to welcome them to the Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026 lineup! On stage, this is a force of four masked figures moving with chilling purpose, building an atmosphere that feels less like a concert and more like a searing, ritualistic act of sonic violence. There is melody, there is crushing aggression, and there is a pervasive, heavy tension that never fully releases. They fill the space without asking for permission. Prepare to witness a performance that stands as an indictment, a revelation, and a masterclass in modern melodic black metal.
For anyone who understands the foundational weight of early Florida death metal, the name Left To Die carries pure, unfiltered legacy. This is not just another band; it is a direct conduit to the source of a sound that has echoed through every corner of extreme metal for decades.
We are incredibly excited to announce that Left To Die is joining the Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026 lineup. The project features legends who were there at the very inception of the genre: Terry Butler and Rick Rozz, both vital architects of Death’s formative, earth-shaking years. Together with the ferocious talents of Matt Harvey and Gus Rios, they step back into that historic era not merely to revisit the past, but to let it breathe, crush, and command the stage once again.
This performance is less about static nostalgia and more about deep, primal roots. It is about standing in front of music that still feels heavy, relevant, and unapologetically alive. Witness the history that started it all, live in Ghimbav!
We are stoked to announce that Periphery is coming to Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026! Pioneers of the technical, polyrhythmic "djent" movement, the Washington D.C. quintet vocalist Spencer Sotelo, guitarists Misha Mansoor, Mark Holcomb, and Jake Bowen, and drummer Matt Halpern have spent nearly two decades defying labels. T
hey weave sparkling pop hooks, aggressive metallic mathematics, and sprawling, atmospheric soundscapes into a cohesive, genre-fluid experience that demands your full attention.
On stage, all that studio perfectionism turns into a high-octane display of controlled chaos. Songs twist, stretch, and hit in massive, crushing waves. This is a show that feels entirely earned, both by the musicians’ tireless dedication to their craft and by the intensity of the crowd standing in front of them. Join us in Ghimbav to witness one of the most innovative and technically impressive acts in modern extreme music!
Some bands don’t need to reinvent themselves every time they step on stage they’ve already done the hard work.
Evergrey is exactly that kind of band. Three decades into their journey, they remain as relevant, precise, and emotionally resonant as ever, still writing music that people actually come to feel, not just hear.
We are incredibly thrilled to welcome Evergrey to the Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026 lineup! They arrive in Ghimbav as a force of nature, shaped by over thirty years of relentless touring, studio evolution, and standing in front of loyal crowds who know every word and every silence in between.
With their signature blend of dark, progressive metal and powerful, melodic heavy metal, Evergrey offers a sonic experience defined by depth and technical mastery.
There are no shortcuts and no fillers here—just a sound that’s been sharpened over time and a live presence that speaks for itself. Get ready to witness a performance that will resonate deep in your core. Join us in the mountains!
The excitement for the move to Ghimbav is palpable, but I want to make sure your messaging is as accurate as it is hype-driven.While the new location is indeed a massive upgrade offering nearly three times the space of the Râșnov grounds and providing a much more comfortable, open experience, there are a couple of small details to adjust for total accuracy:
Capacity: Previous festival communications have referenced a "biggest smallest" festival approach with a capacity limit around 13,000 attendees (rather than 20,000) to ensure that the community-focused, intimate atmosphere remains, even with the expanded grounds.
Stage Size: While the production footprint is huge (with the backstage area alone spanning 2.4 hectares), be mindful that marketing a specific "2,000 m² stage" might be misleading if it implies just the physical stage structure. It’s often better to highlight the vast scale of the festival grounds (the 70,000 m² total area), which is the real game-changer for avoiding crowd congestion.
Your focus on the "experience over crowd crush" is exactly what the fans love about Rockstadt. If you want to keep the momentum going, should I help you draft a social media post that emphasizes these new logistical upgrades—like the expanded bars and food courts—while keeping that "biggest smallest" festival spirit?
It is officially time! Electronic punk pioneers The Prodigy are locked in for Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026 as the highly anticipated final headliner.
Formed in Braintree, Essex, in 1990 by keyboardist and principal songwriter Liam Howlett, the group completely disrupted global music history. Blending hard-hitting rave beats, industrial edge, and unadulterated punk confrontation, they smashed genre boundaries with legendary multi-platinum masterworks like The Fat of the Land and chart-topping anthems like "Firestarter", "Breathe", and "Smack My Bitch Up".
Following the heartbreaking passing of iconic frontman Keith Flint, Liam Howlett and MC Maxim continue to carry the torch, ensuring their live show remains an explosive tribute to pure, uncompromising energy. This historic appearance marks a major milestone for the festival's new chapter in Ghimbav, proving that absolute intensity knows no boundaries. Welcome to the ultimate sonic rebellion!
Washington, D.C. instrumental progressive metal vanguard Animals As Leaders is officially locked in for Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026.
Formed in 2007 by visionary guitarist Tosin Abasi following the disbanding of his metalcore outfit Reflux, the project shattered boundaries with its 2009 self-titled debut, co-produced by Misha Mansoor. Alongside co-guitarist Javier Reyes and drumming phenomenon Matt Garstka, the trio has evolved into a titan of the modern heavy landscape, famously taking their name from Daniel Quinn’s philosophical novel Ishmael.
Known for pioneering hyper-technical eight-string guitar mechanics, the band effortlessly weaves complex polyrhythms, djent, and intricate jazz fusion. Landmark releases like The Joy of Motion and their latest tour de force, Parrhesia, prove their music carries immense artistic flow, depth, and calculated tension rather than mere empty flash.
Finnish melodic death metal masters Insomnium are joining Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026.
Forged in Joensuu in 1997, the band has spent nearly three decades perfecting a sound where melodeath intensity meets profound atmosphere. Guided by the foundational core of Niilo Sevänen, Ville Friman, and Markus Hirvonen, alongside guitarist Markus Vanhala, Insomnium stands as an absolute vanguard of emotional extreme music.
Across their career, from early landmarks to legendary masterpieces like Above the Weeping World and One for Sorrow, they have refined a balance between aggression and depth that feels uniquely theirs. More recently, the bleak narrative of Anno 1696 pushed their music into darker territory, drawing from history, northern folklore, and raw hardship. This is a live set engineered for the open air of Ghimbav, asking you to feel as much as headbang. Prepare for a monumental wall of sound to wash completely over the crowd.
German folk metal force Feuerschwanz is officially set to turn Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026 into a massive, riotous celebration.
Formed in Erlangen in 2004, the band spent years mastering a unique blend of heavy riffs, traditional folk instruments, and a sharp sense of humor. Led by founding vocalist Hauptmann Feuerschwanz alongside multi-instrumentalist Prinz R. Hodenherz III and violinist Johanna von der Vögelweide, they have evolved from early comedy rock into one of Europe's premier, chart-topping folk metal powerhouses.
Following an incredible run that saw them score back-to-back number-one albums with Memento Mori and Fegefeuer, they arrive in Ghimbav carrying the fierce momentum of their twelfth studio album, Knightclub.
Packed with harder edges, soaring bagpipes, and massive hooks, their legendary live shows guarantee pure, theatrical fun. Raise your horns!
German extreme metal titans Heaven Shall Burn are locked in for Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026.
Formed in Saalfeld, Thuringia, in 1996, they’ve built a massive sound bridging metalcore, melodic death metal, and urgent political messages. Led by Marcus Bischoff’s searing vocals and Maik Weichert’s razor riffs, their tracks carry immense weight, not just volume.
Heaven Shall Burn has always been a band with a steel spine. Independent-minded, outspoken, and allergic to playing it safe, they’ve risen globally without ever smoothing their jagged edges or diluting their core ideals. Over the years, milestones like Antigone and the chart-topping Of Truth and Sacrifice have pushed extreme music into main-stage spaces without losing the underground urgency that made them matter.
They don’t rely on nostalgia or chase trends; every crushing live show is a raw reminder that this music still has a vital purpose. Prepare for chaos in Ghimbav!
Olympia, Washington’s premier atmospheric black metal entity, Wolves in the Throne Room, is officially heading to Ghimbav. Formed in 2002 by brothers Aaron and Nathan Weaver, alongside guitarist Kody Keyworth, the band has spent over two decades crafting vast, ritualistic landscapes.
From early masterworks like Two Hunters to their recent Primordial Arcana, their sound feels less like a standard stage show and more like an immersive spiritual event unfolding around you, deeply shaped by raw nature, ancient myths, and escalating tension.
This is extreme music engineered for the open air there are no frantic tricks here, just colossal sonic waves that demand you stay exactly where you are and let the music breathe. Prepare to sink into a powerful, meditative collective moment under the Transylvanian night sky.
Rockstadt Extreme Fest is officially moving to a monumental new home for 2026, unveiling its brand-new festival map and a groundbreaking location. Situated in Ghimbav, this custom space is part of an ambitious cultural project initiated and developed by the Municipality of Ghimbav, designed to serve as a long-term cultural hub for major initiatives. Rockstadt carries the distinct honor of being the very first festival to open this space and breathe life into it, marking a deeply meaningful milestone for the entire REF community.
This new venue grants the festival unprecedented freedom, spanning an area nearly three times larger than the previous grounds used in Râșnov. To truly put this massive scale into perspective, the backstage production area alone covers approximately 2.4 hectares meaning the backstage space by itself is larger than the entire 2.1-hectare festival footprint previously used in Râșnov. This vast expansion allows the team to elevate stage setups and audio-visual production to an entirely new level, providing a highly flexible layout that can adapt to the most demanding technical requirements.
Beyond the stage structures, the extra breathing room translates directly into a massively upgraded experience for the fans. The new layout has been meticulously designed to eliminate past pain points, such as congested bottlenecks and long queues at the bars. Attendees can look forward to significantly expanded bar zones, a much larger food court, a higher volume of toilet facilities, and spacious relaxation areas. Whether you are down in the pit or taking a well-deserved breather between sets, the entire grounds will feel open, comfortable, and effortless to navigate.
Accommodations are also receiving a major upgrade, with the camping area now equipped to comfortably host at least 4,000 festival-goers, and dedicated tickets for the campervan area slated to go on sale very soon.
Despite these massive logistical upgrades, Rockstadt Extreme Fest remains deeply committed to its core principles. The festival will proudly continue to offer some of the absolute best and most affordable prices for a major event in Romania across all tickets, food, and drinks. This expansion isn't just about growing logistically; it is about creating a space to expand ideas, activities, and experiences that put the community at the dead center of the festival. At Rockstadt, the crowd is never an afterthought it is the ultimate headliner.
Swedish death metal legends Grave are officially joining Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026.
Standing alongside Entombed, Dismember, and Unleashed as one of the genre’s foundational "Big Four," they have stayed uncompromised since the early '90s. In 2024, the classic 1991 lineup Ola Lindgren, Jörgen Sandström, Jens "Jensa" Paulsson, and Jonas Torndal shocked the metal world by reuniting, and they are bringing an exclusive old-school set to Ghimbav.
The performance focuses entirely on their first three studio masterpieces: Into the Grave, You'll Never See..., and Soulless. Expect a crushing masterclass in raw, buzzsaw brutality with no detours or later-era tracks. This is a rare, crucial chance to hear these genre-defining tracks delivered exactly as they were born: loud, savage, and unapologetically old-school.
Norwegian black metal pioneers Satyricon are officially set to bring their cold, dark majesty to Ghimbav.
Formed in Oslo in 1991, this legendary band stands as one of the absolute foundational pillars of the historic second wave of black metal. Led by the visionary Sigurd "Satyr" Wongraven alongside the relentless, razor-sharp drum work of Kjetil-Vidar "Frost" Haraldstad since 1993, Satyricon has spent over three decades constantly evolving without ever sacrificing their grim, obsidian core.
From early genre-defining black metal masterpieces like Dark Medieval Times and Nemesis Divina to the bleak, groove-laden sonic brilliance of Now, Diabolical, they have consistently rewritten the rules of extreme music. Live, Satyricon does not rely on random chaos. Instead, their performance is a fierce masterclass in sinister discipline, calculated atmospheric tension, and absolute sonic control.
Prepare to witness true extreme metal royalty command the main stage in an unforgettable performance.
Everyone's favorite Czech "gore 'n' roll" icons are back! Formed in 2009 Gutalax has established themselves as a leading force in the goregrind scene.
Known for their bulldozing sound and hilarious toilet-themed humor, their party-like performances are legendary festival highlights. While some mistake their discography for fictitious records like "Anaerobic" or "Flesh Market," true fans know their studio power comes from groove-heavy masterpieces like Shit Beast and Shit Happens!.
Their latest full-length weapon, The Shitpendables, further solidifies their status as masters of the signature oinking beat. Expect a chaotic, high-energy spectacle in Ghimbav filled with infectious enthusiasm, a storm of flying toilet paper rolls, and a sea of crowd-surfing portable toilets.
Get ready to pump your fists!
Swiss pioneers Coroner are officially joining Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026. Since 1985, this legendary force has shaped thrash metal with laser precision, fierce intensity, and bold experimentation.
Often called the "Rush of thrash metal," their signature sound blends intricate technical thrash, avant-garde twists, and a sharp industrial edge. With Ron Broder, Tommy Vetterli, and Marky Edelmann at the core—joined by longtime live partner Diego Rapacchietti—their live shows are an utterly captivating masterclass in precision.
Fresh off the momentum of their acclaimed album Dissonance Theory, expect a crushing set packed with clinical speed, unpredictable structures, and the kind of intense performance that sticks with you long after the final note.
Swedish godfathers of epic doom metal, Candlemass, are officially descending upon Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026. Some bands don’t need hype, and this monolithic Swedish force is undoubtedly one of them. For four decades, mastermind Leif Edling has steered the band through the cold shadows of the heavy music landscape, cementing their legacy with sacred text masterpieces like Epicus Doomicus Metallicus and Nightfall.
Marking a monumental 40 years of sorrow-laden grandeur, they are bringing a special anniversary performance to Ghimbav, fronted by the powerful voice of classic vocalist Johan Längqvist.
This definitive set isn't about speed or flash; it’s about craterous riffs, immense atmospheres, and letting the crushing weight of doom build until everyone feels it. Prepare for an unforgettable masterclass in heavy, timeless doom majesty.
The Rockstadt lineup is about to get a massive dose of pure, unfiltered heaviness. The legendary New Orleans outfit Crowbar is officially descending upon Ghimbav, bringing over three decades of bone-crushing riffs and raw sonic intensity.
Led by Kirk Windstein since day one, Crowbar delivers sludge metal exactly how it should feel live: raw, oppressive, and completely honest. Their signature sound moves slow, hits deep, and refuses to let go, sinking into your core rather than rushing past. Expect no polish and no shortcuts—just massive riffs and a presence that completely fills the stage.
This is a performance tailored specifically for those who like their heaviness real.
A rare and historic convergence of extreme metal history is coming to Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2026.
To mark the 30th anniversary of Behemoth’s legendary debut studio album, frontman Adam "Nergal" Darski is reviving Sventevith (Storming Near the Baltic) for a highly exclusive European run. Performed live, front to back, for the first time as a full conceptual work, this set represents an uncompromising return to the dark, underground origins of Polish extreme music.
Originally released in April 1995, Sventevith laid the primitive, frozen foundation for Behemoth’s evolution from underground obscurity into a global powerhouse. To fully summon the primal spirit of the original 1995 recordings, Nergal is joining forces with Icelandic black metal visionaries Misþyrming, whose raw energy and uncompromising intensity have completely reshaped the modern black metal landscape.
The onslaught continues! Single-day tickets for Day 3 (July 29, 2026) of Rockstadt Extreme Fest are officially on sale.

Rockstadt Extreme Fest will take place between Jul 27-31st, that means from Monday to Friday. Although we skipped the weekend dates, these new dates will allow us to present the biggest lineup ever made in the history of this festival. And we are silently working on this for months, with many acts already confirmed.
This move makes it easier for bands to actually bring their full production over, with a touring schedule that will be way more flexible in actually making the shows happen in this part of Europe, a situation that was always a challenge when it came to coordinating with other major European events taking place in the same week.
So you can expect a more packed lineup than before. For now, please welcome Helloween and ACCEPT, two legendary names coming over with special anniversary shows!
The future of Rockstadt Extreme Fest has been revealed. In a statement released this morning, the festival has confirmed that its new home from 2026 will be in Ghimbav, where they will build the festival "the way we envision it."
The official post describes a bold vision of starting from scratch to create the ultimate festival experience, in partnership with the local City Hall. Organizers assured the community that the new venue will be designed to meet everyone's needs, with a focus on creating "lots of activities where you can see more than just your favorite bands play."
They answered key fan questions directly, confirming the new site will have plenty of covered areas, trees, water, and dedicated camping.
Ghimbav is located only 5 kilometers from the city of Brasov and only 10 kilometers from Rasnov and was first mentioned in a letter from King Sigismund of Hungary in 1420. It is an amazing place, located in a very strategic area that allows a festival of this size to fully unfold.
The new festival site will cover twice the size of the old space in Rasnov , which means that we will now have the opportunity to host larger productions and improve the festival as a whole, from the stages to the design, shades and all activities related to the event itself.
Gone are the days when you couldn't find a ticket for the campsite. Gone are the days of struggling to find suitable accommodation near the festival. Plus, the Ghimbav train station is literally right across the street.
