In a detailed and heartfelt statement to their community, Rockstadt Extreme Fest organizers have officially unveiled the future of the festival. Confirming months of speculation, the team announced that from 2026, the festival's new home will be in Ghimbav, just 5km from Brașov.
In their post, the organizers explained that the move from Râșnov was necessary after the festival grew from a 2,000-person event into a "mammoth" international gathering, outgrowing its beloved home. The new Ghimbav site, twice the size of the previous one, will allow them to build a true "metal playground" from scratch in partnership with the local City Council. This will solve past issues with camping and accommodation space and allow for larger stage productions.
The festival also announced a strategic shift in dates, with the 2026 edition set for Monday, July 27th to Friday, July 31st. Organizers explained this move makes it easier for international bands to bring their full productions to Romania, promising the "biggest lineup ever made in the history of this festival."
To kick things off, German legends Helloween and ACCEPT are the first confirmed acts for 2026, both with special anniversary shows. The festival reassured its community that its "by the fans, for the fans" ethos remains central to this new chapter. Early bird tickets for the 2026 edition are now available on their official website.
