Gojira’s relationship with the Romanian public has reached a fever pitch. Their 2025 set at Rockstadt is already being hailed as one of the most technically perfect performances in the festival's history. By returning so quickly as the primary support for Metallica, the band is cementing their status as the "adopted" kings of the Romanian metal scene.
The "Olympic" Momentum
Beyond our borders, Gojira is currently the most talked-about band in the world. Their performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics—the first for a metal band at such an event—introduced their brand of "crushing technicality with a conscience" to billions. Bucharest fans can expect that same world-class intensity, amplified by the unique acoustics of the Arena.
For the photographers and fans alike, Gojira’s set is a masterclass in lighting and precision. From the iconic "pick scrapes" of Flying Whales to the environmental urgency of Amazonia, their presence on the M72 circular stage will offer unprecedented angles for capturing Joe Duplantier’s raw vocals and Mario Duplantier’s surgical drumming.
Knocked Loose doesn't play by the rules. Their 2024 album, You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To, garnered universal acclaim and a Grammy nomination, proving that uncompromising heaviness can still dominate the global charts. Led by Bryan Garris’s signature high-register vocals and Isaac Hale’s devastating riffs, the band delivers a "skull-melting" intensity that feels dangerous and fresh.
As the first act on the bill, Knocked Loose is tasked with setting the energy level for 50,000 fans at 16:00.
The "Arf Arf" Factor: Expect the mosh pits to ignite the moment the band enters.
360° Chaos: For a band that thrives on the energy of a small, sweaty club, the transition to a massive circular stage at Arena Națională is a historic moment. Their performance will be a physical masterclass in how to command a stadium using nothing but raw aggression and technical precision.
Knocked Loose represents the future. Their collaborations with artists across the musical spectrum (from Poppy to Denzel Curry) show a band that refuses to be boxed in. In Bucharest, they aren't just an "opener"—they are a statement of intent, bringing the "New Wave of American Hardcore" to the biggest stage in Romania.
